Project Etalia: Bain Capital acquires a portfolio of exposures from National Bank of Greece S.A.

Papanikolopoulou & Partners (ppl) advised Bain Capital on the acquisition of a portfolio of exposures with outstanding principal value of c. €0.1 billion from National Bank of Greece S.A. The transaction completed in Q1 2026.

As the Greek NPL market continues to evolve, Etalia A is one of the relatively few recent primary portfolio transactions involving seasoned exposures moving along the recovery spectrum.
